Tacit Group tapped 13th Eye to conceive of and develop FrankenTacit, a new cycle of Tacit artworks exploring artificial intelligence. 13th Eye brought a vision of the creative potential of frontier technologies, where human and AI entities perform together in real time.

With 13th Eye authoring visuals and software, and Seoul-based electronic musician Gazaebal as performer and sound designer, this collaboration has borne several live audiovisual performance pieces and one museum exhibition. These works have been shown in North America, Asia, and Europe.

We also wrote the software powering this vision: AI and machine learning, graphics engines, real-time multilingual translation, performance interfaces, musical synthesis and lighting integration.

Reusable components are currently being prepared for open-source release.

Established in 2008, Tacit Group is a Seoul-based audiovisual collective specializing in algorithmic art, multimedia performance, and interactive installations. Led by electronic musician Gazaebal, Tacit is considered to be the pioneer of the genre in South Korea.
